The professional education "Awareness of the naturalist in yourself", which is conducted for our educators and pedagogues, was held on June 15, 2022  in our kindergarten for the fifth time and at the same time the last time before the summer break.

Until now, through this education, our educators-naturalists have had the opportunity to learn about the role of aquatic organisms in nature and their significance, sexual and asexual reproduction of plants, and the creation of herbariums and garden ponds. Each unit consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The creation of a garden pond was particularly interesting, where our educators learned about all the stages of making and maintaining a garden pond through practical work. From collecting materials for making, getting to know the plant and animal species that can inhabit the pond to maintaining the pond, all following basic ecological principles.

We will use all acquired professional knowledge and skills in the further work of our kindergarten through the educational process with children and for the development of our new educational program Little Naturalists.

The professional education "Awareness of the naturalist in yourself" is carried out as part of the EU project Step forward, co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Program Effective Human Resources.

The total value of the "Step forward" project amounts to HRK 2,935,003.01.

The purpose of the project is to contribute to the harmonization of the business and family life of families with dependent members by providing the service of extended working hours of kindergartens from the existing 10 to 12 hours of educational work, avoiding duty groups, and through continuous educational work, in the period from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.
