Am I good, bad, do I believe in myself and my abilities, in fact what I am - all this represents our self-esteem. Self-esteem is a subjective evaluation and evaluation of oneself in a positive or negative way. It develops during childhood, and parental attention and the environment play a significant role in its development. Children observe how adults treat them, what they think about them and internalize these opinions as their own. We can encourage self-esteem by listening to the child and really hearing him in his world. This means giving our attention, listening to what he says, being available and present.
